The Harford County Chesapeake Science and Security Corridor (CSSC) hosted the second public workshops for the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the University Center at HEAT located at 1201 Technology Drive, Aberdeen, MD, and concurrent workshops on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Cecil College Technology Center, 1 Seahawk Drive, North East, MD and the Kent County Community Center, 11041 Worton Road, Warton, MD. Each workshop focused on the JLUS as is applies to each geographic region. The workshops provided the public with a project status update and opportunity for the community to increase their understanding of issues and the APG influence areas being addressed through the JLUS.

During the public meetings, the project team discussed how public involvement has been integrated into the JLUS process, provided an overview of the APG operational areas, discussed the development of compatibility issues that have been identified to date, and answered questions. In addition, the attendees participated in a group exercise facilitated by the project team to provide input on the prioritization of the issues and pose new issues previously not considered.
